Langtang Valley Trek


Langtang valley trek is considered as a Shangri-La-hidden valley. Due to the breathtaking views of mountains in the upper part and many layers of hills with green forest in the lower part, Langtang valley trek has been popular of real trekkers. Langtang valley trek is not for spectacular views of landscapes; it is also for cultural heritage of Tibetan speaking people. Langtang valley trek also explores the deciduous, coniferous forest and village located in the lap of mountains. You can see the white shining mountains walking through some time jungle and village. As you get higher and higher the valley get wider and wider with rugged mountains that will make your Langtang valley trek more excitement.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345m)

Our company representative or staff will come to pick up you and transfer to hotel.Welcome drinks and short brief about the tour trip.O/N in Kathmandu.

DAY 2: Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1462m)

Bus Departure at sharp 7:00am so you must reach there by 6:30am.Drive(6.30hrs)from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi by bus via Trisuli Bazar and Dhunche( popular town).Bus will stop for couple of times on the way for breakfast and lunch.You can see the astonishing scenario of Mt. Annapurna II,Mt.Manasalu,Mt.Ganesh Himal and other minor peaks that are visible from Kakani(along the route).Syabru bensi is an attractive village with large stone houses.O/N in Syabru Bensi.O/N in syabru bensi.

DAY 3: Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2510m)

Breakfast at 7:00am.After breakfast, we begin our trek by following the Langtang River all the way to the head of the valley. After crossing the suspension bridge, the trails ascent ridge to Paira Lodge and after Paira Lodge, the trails, gradually ascent until to New Bridge and the trail climbs up to Rimche and after 40 minutes, we get then to Lama Hotel.You might get an opportunity to see wild animals like monkeys, red Pandas, Himalayan Black Bears etc.O/N in Lama Hotel.

DAY 4: Lama Hotel to Langtang village (3307m)

From Lama Hotel the trail gradually climbs up to Ghora Tabela through a forest of hemlock, oaks, maples and rhododendron with spectacular, fleeting glimpses of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7,244m). Leaving Ghora Tabela, the path follows the delightful Langtang Khola, climbing steadily up to the spread-out Langtang village (3,500m). At the afternoon, we hike up to Kyanjin Ri and back to Kyanjin Gompa.O/N in Langtang village.

DAY 5: Langtang village to Kyanjin Ri (4773m)and back to Kyanjin Gompa.

The trail climbs gradually to Sindum and to Yamphu (3640m). Crossing the Laja Khola then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where you can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung. After Kyanjin Gompa, hiking to Kyankin Ri (4773m)and trek back to Kyanjin Gompa.

DAY 6: Kyanjin Gompa to Chorka ri Ri or Tsergo Ri (5050m) and back to Kyanjin Gompa

After breakfast, our day begins with a steep climb to the top of Chorkari ri (5050m). Enjoying spectacular panoramic mountain views of the whole Langtang Himalayas, including Langtang Lirung (7,244m), Langshisa Ri (6,810 m.), Gyanghempo (6,888 m.) Ganjala peak, Nayakang more. Besides, incredible mountain views, Langtang valley views with dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and Gyanghempo peak can be seen.

DAY 7: Trek down from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel(2510m)

O/N at the lodges.

DAY 8: Lama Hotel to Syabru bensi

From Lama Hotel the trail descends till Syabru bensi.

DAY 9: Syapru Bensi to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu by Bus. 7 hours driving.

DAY 10: Drop off at the international airport

Our company staff will drop you off to the Kathmandu international airport for farewell.
